Completed in 2016 in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, the Korean School of Malaysia features a modern, functional architectural design characterized by clean horizontal geometry, layered sun-shading louvers suited for tropical climates, and spacious, light-filled educational interiors. From an aesthetic perspective, the building’s bright exterior color scheme draws inspiration from Obangsaek, the traditional Korean five-color palette consisting of white, black, blue, red, and yellow, which historically represent the cardinal directions, natural elements, and harmony with the universe. In a modern architectural context, these cultural hues—seen in the bold blue, warm yellow, orange, and neutral accents across the facade—are translated into playful vertical stripes and framing details, giving the institution an inviting, vibrant energy that reflects youthfulness while proudly honoring Korean heritage.
